Solid 14k gold tube, riser, embouchure and crown. Made by master craftsman and former owner of The William S. Haynes flute company, the late John Fughetta. Originally owned by the renown New York City based studio musician and multi-instrumentalist George Marge. Used extensively in recordings and performances. This headjoint produces a soulful and rich sound with the amount of tonal flexibility and resistance necessary to blend with other instruments in a number of styles and instrumental combinations. Wonderful for chamber music and orchestral playing. Pristine condition. Highly reccommended for recordingx and for multi-instrumentalists.

Without the sacrifice of flexibility sometimes caused by a "Wing" design. This headjoint section produces a very focused and penetrating sound, superb for orchestral or solo playing. The platinum riser presents the player with a host of added tonal possibilities throughout the range of the flute in addition to hearty low register articulation and projection. Excellent condition. Artley Wilkins model flute. Solid Silver. Needs work. Not sure if it can be revived with a a few new pads or if it needs an overhaul. It's priced accordingly. It comes with a Pearl headjoint that comes with Pearl's 761 series flutes, (as well as the original Artley headjoint), that really makes this horn sing. Unusual Rudall Carte & Co. flute #8026, made in 1939. Unibody (one piece body and footjoint) construction to low c. Nickel silver tube, silver plateau, pointed-arm keywork on ribs, reminiscent of keywork for wooden flutes by this firm. Offset g, closed g#, b trill. Plays well at a=440. The flute is in near-mint condition, good pads and adjustment. Period, possibly original case with fitted space for a piccolo, long swab rod and old, probably later canvas case cover. Asking $2,500.
